In recent times Simon's focus has been on composing. Since moving to the Welsh Borders (2014), his career has centred on writing and performing his own music, which has led to the production of four albums & EP - Crossing Borders (2016), From the Blue Hills (2017), Afan's Dance (2019), Indigo Horizon (EP, 2021), String Rise Azure Traces (2023).
